Biografija

Rođena je 4. prosinca 1978. u Leonbergu u Njemačkoj, gdje je završila osnovnu i srednju školu. Glumu je upisala 1998. na Akademiji dramske umjetnosti u Zagrebu. U prvoj predstavi u Zagrebačkom kazalištu mladih, Mi djeca s kolodvora ZOO, nastupila je 2001. Nakon toga je ostvarila više uloga u kazalištu te na filmu i televiziji. Godine 2005. postaje stalnom članicom ansambla ZKM-a. Nominirana je za Nagradu hrvatskoga glumišta 2006. u kategoriji najbolje mlade glumice za uloge u predstavama Skakavci i Vrata do. Govori engleski i njemački jezik, šest se godina bavila suvremenim plesom, a surađivala je i kao kostimografkinja na predstavama William Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits u pulskom INK-u te Šegrt Hlapić u GK-u Trešnja. Osim u matičnoj kući, glumila je u predstavama drugih hrvatskih kazališta, GDK-a Gavella i HNK-a u Zagrebu, na Dubrovačkim ljetnim igrama i na Brijunima u Teatru Ulysses, a 2010. nastupila je u predstavi Kinezi redatelja Dimitra Gočeva u Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz u Berlinu.

Barbara Prpić was born on December 4, 1978 in Leonberg, Germany, where she completed elementary and secondary schools. In 1998, she enrolled into Acting studies at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. She played her first role in the Zagreb Youth Theater in the performance We Children from Bahnhof Zoo (Mi djeca s kolodvora ZOO) in 2001. After that she has played in a number of roles in the theater, in films and on television. In 2005, she became a full member of the ZKM Theater’s ensemble. She was nominated for the Croatian Theater Award in the Best Young Actress category for the roles in the performances Grasshoppers (Skakavci) and Next Door (Vrata do) in 2006. Ms. Prpić speaks English and German, for six years she was engaged in modern dance performances, and has also collaborated as a costume designer in the performances William Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits in the Istrian National Theater in Pula and The Strange Adventures of Hlapich the Apprentice (Šegrt Hlapić) in the Trešnja Municipal Theater. Besides her parent theater, she has played in the performances of other Croatian theaters, in the Gavella City Drama Theater and the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival and at Brijuni islands in Ulysses Theater, and in 2010 acted in the performance Chinamen (Kinezi) directed by Dimitri Gočev in Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin.
