Luka Knez


Luka Knez was born in Čakovec on 9 November 1999. He obtained a master’s degree in acting from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. Since 2024, he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Zagreb Youth Theatre.
At ZKM he performed in productions such as Čarobnjak iz Oza (The Wizard of Oz, directed by Saša Broz), Euforija (Euphoria, directed by Ksenija Zec) and Anđeo od leda (Angel of Ice, directed by Árpád Schilling), Samo kraj svijeta (It’s Only the End of the World, directed by Matija Ferlin). He has also acted in productions of the &TD Theatre, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, the Croatian National Theatre in Zadar, Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and Kunstteatar.
He is the recipient of the Croatian Theatre Award for outstanding achievement by young artists for his role as Šime in the play Beštije (Beasts), produced by the &TD Theatre (dir. Kristina Grubiša), and of the Ivo Fici Award for the best acting performance by an actor under 28 for his role as Jakov in the play Mala zabava (Small Entertainment) (dir. Vanja Jovanović) at the 30th Actor’s Festival.
