Biografija

Rođen je u Zagrebu 1957. godine, gdje je i završio glumu na Akademiji dramske umjetnosti. Tijekom dugogodišnjega glumačkog rada najviše je djelovao u kazalištu. S kolegama s iste godine na Akademiji osnovao je kazališnu skupinu Akter u kojoj su, pod vodstvom Rade Šerbedžije, a poslije i Vjerana Zuppe, nastale predstave Koja gora Ivo, Kažu da je sova nekad bila pekareva kći te Spašeni Edwarda Bonda. S kolegom Radoslavom Milenkovićem osnovao je Teatar MM i s njim gostovao u cijeloj bivšoj državi, više od tristo puta izvevši predstave Izlaz Matije Bećkovića te Emigrante Sławomira Mrożeka. Za vrijeme studija također je surađivao s Kazališnom radionicom Pozdravi. Nakon završetka studija zaposlio se u Zagrebačkom kazalištu mladih na poziv tadašnjega umjetničkog ravnatelja Božidara Violića, a dvije godine poslije prešao u GDK Gavella, gdje je radio do kraja sezone 2005/2006. Tada ponovno dobiva angažman u ZKM-u. Tijekom karijere gostovao je i u drugim hrvatskim kazalištima, najviše u Zagrebu – u Teatru ITD, SK-u Kerempuh, Teatru EXIT, GK-u Trešnja, potom u varaždinskom HNK-u, pulskom INK-u te na Dubrovačkim ljetnim igrama. Višestruko je nagrađivan za glumački rad, među posljednjim priznanjima izdvaja Vjesnikovu Nagradu Dubravko Dujšin 2006.

Sreten Mokrović was born in 1957 in Zagreb, where he also received a degree in acting at the Academy of Dramatic Art. His long-term acting career has consisted notably in acting in theaters. Together with his peers from the Academy, he has founded a theater group Akter which delivered performances under the leadership of Rade Šerbedžija, and later also Vjeran Zuppa, Which Mountain, Ivo (Koja gora Ivo), They Say the Owl Was a Baker’s Daughter (Kažu da je sova nekad bila pekareva kći), and The Saved (Spašeni) by Edward Bond. With his collegue Radoslav Milenković, Mr. Mokrović founded the MM Theater, which held guest performances throughout the former Yugoslavia, with more than three hundred performances of Exit (Izlaz) by Matija Bećković and The Emigrants (Emigranti) by Sławomir Mrożek. During the study he also collaborated with Theater Workshop Pozdravi (Greetings). Following the completion of the study, Mr. Mokrović started working in the Zagreb Youth Theater at the invitation of then-artistic director Božidar Violić, and two years later he transferred to the Gavella City Drama Theater, where he worked until the end of the season 2005/2006. He was engaged by the ZKM Theater again soon thereafter. In the course of his career he also had guest performances in other Croatian theaters, mostly in Zagreb – in the ITD Theater, Kerempuh Satirical Theater, the EXIT Theater, the Trešnja Municipal Theater, as well as in the Croatian National Theater in Varaždin, the Istrian National Theater, and at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. In addition, Mr. Mokrović played in a number of films and TV series, including one of the main roles in the TV series Mamutica, which received critical acclaim. He has received multiple acting awards. The most recent recognitions include the Vjesnik Dubravko Dujšin Award in 2006.
